Mark A J Checkley
Mark has been playing the Piano since he was seven and also learned the Violin and Church Organ. He has been Musical Director and/or played in many shows up and down the country for a number of societies, both amateur and professional. He is a member of MENSA which sometimes proves helpful when he is programming his keyboards. He has been involved in shows as far west as Milton Keynes, as far north as Boston as far east as Dereham and as far south as Paris! Some of the well-known people he has worked with include Andrew Sachs, Stephen Yardley and Dale Meeks.
In addition to computer programming (his main profession) Mark is also a fully-trained pyrotechnician: He has a formal British Pyrotechnics Association qualification and has set up and fired some of the country’s biggest firework displays. One of his last displays was London New-year 2012/13.
